Can Aleix Vidal replace Dani Alves in the Barca defence?

Dani-AlvesLike Jordi Alba, with whom he played alongside in the Barcelona youth setup as an 11 year old, Aleix Vidal returns to Barcelona, after spending a season at Sevilla FC.

Although a natural right winger, Vidal was converted successfully into a right sided defender, by Sevilla’s shrewd coach, Unai Emery.

Although not eligible to play for Barcelona until January 2016, Vidal may have to compete for a place in the team with Brazilian full back Dani Alves, who renewed his contract with the Catalonian giants for another two years.
